Four Ways to Help

Pick What Works for You

Every action below strengthens the campaign. The most powerful thing you can do is lodge a formal EIS submission — but all of these matter.

Get EIS Alerts Direct to Your Inbox

The EIS exhibition window is the single most important moment of this campaign. It will open with little notice and close in as little as 28 days. Sign up now so you don't miss it.

We'll also send monthly campaign updates, media coverage, and submission guides. No spam. Unsubscribe any time.

Why this matters: 50 unique objections triggers referral to the Independent Planning Commission — removing the Minister as sole decision-maker. We need your submission in the window.

No spam. Campaign updates and EIS alerts only. Unsubscribe any time.

Lodge a Formal EIS Objection

When the Boree Solar Project EIS is publicly exhibited, anyone in Australia can lodge a formal submission through the NSW Planning Portal. You don't need to be a local, a landholder, or have any technical expertise.

Our step-by-step guide walks you through exactly what to write, what to include, and how to submit — in under 10 minutes.

EIS Status: Not yet on exhibition. Sign up to be alerted the moment the window opens. The exhibition closes on a fixed deadline — late submissions are not accepted.

Join the Facebook Community

Over 1,000 people are already connected through the Stop Boree Solar Project Facebook group. It's the fastest way to stay across breaking news, share updates with your network, and coordinate with other concerned Australians.

Local discussions, media alerts, action prompts, and community support — all in one place.

Already in the group? Share this website with every member. The more people who sign up for email updates, the stronger our reach when the EIS window opens.

Sign the NSW Parliamentary Petition

A NSW Parliamentary petition opposing the Boree Solar Project is in preparation. Parliamentary petitions are tabled in the NSW Legislative Council, creating an official record of community opposition and prompting a formal government response.

Sign up to our email list and we'll notify you the moment the petition is live and ready for signatures.

Note: A parliamentary petition counts differently to an EIS submission — it builds political pressure but does not replace a formal EIS objection. Do both.

Spread the Word

The EIS submission window will be won or lost on reach. Every person who hears about this campaign and signs up for updates is a potential formal objection. Share through every channel available to you.

Share the website

Copy the link and share it directly with anyone you think should know about this campaign — family, farming networks, community groups.

Share the Facebook group

Tag friends and family in the Stop Boree Solar Project Facebook group. Ask them to join and share it further. Every member is a potential EIS submitter.

Share with local media

Know a journalist, regional publication, or farming newsletter? Send them the media page — we have press releases, background, and a media contact ready.

Local community groups

Schools, churches, sports clubs, show societies, CWA branches, and P&C groups — these communities care about what happens to their district. Get it in front of them.

Farming networks

NSW Farmers, Grain Growers, AgForce, local show societies, livestock saleyards noticeboards. If you have a connection to any agricultural network, use it.

Write to your MP

A short email to your NSW state MP asking them to publicly oppose the project and write to the Minister for Planning takes five minutes and creates a formal record.

Allied Opposition Groups

We're Not the Only Community Fighting Back

Venn Energy is proposing Solar Projects across three states. Each of those communities is organising resistance. A coordinated national response — sharing tactics, legal learnings, media coverage, and political contacts — is far more powerful than isolated campaigns.

NSW Parliamentary Inquiry into Renewable Energy Zones

A NSW Legislative Council committee is currently conducting an inquiry into the impact of Renewable Energy Zones on rural and regional communities. Boree Solar Project has been cited in evidence. You can make a submission to this inquiry — it is separate to the EIS process and puts community concerns directly on the parliamentary record. Watch this page for updates as the inquiry progresses.
